Immigrating from US to CA

Hello there! Long story short, my college was permanently closed mid program because of COVID which sucks for obvious reasons, but this does open the opportunity to move in with my best friend in Alberta. Long term I would love to gain citizenship (Or before that, a permanent residence so I could begin my studies again), but for now I am confused as hell about how to get a work visa or something similar. I seem to always run myself in circles on government websites and don't know what is required to even begin the process. Anything is helpful! Thank you for your time :)

Hi everyone, my family and I are under the F3 category and we just received a notice from NVC that our documents have been approved and that we are Documentarily Qualified. My only concern is this message that we received today in addition to the acceptance: ​ " [Name of petitioner] does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case.
