My family and I were removed from the US back in May 2011 and couldn't go back after 10 years. It will be our 10th year this May 2021. I'm planning on applying for a non-immigrant visa (B2 Tourism) after the 10 year bar to see my friend who lives in Hawaii. I'm wondering if I would need to fill up the I-212 Waiver first, even though I wouldn't be under the 10 year bar anymore. Can I directly apply for the visa? Also, I was a minor during our stay in the US. Would that help in exempting me from the I-212?
