Drawbacks of new employer not filing I-140

I have I-140 approved from my previous employer and 180 days have passed. My potential new employer is not willing to file new I-140 for next Seven years as they say Indians don’t have current status for next 10 years with my priority date. What will I lose or risk by joining the new company? They will have to transfer my H-1b and they are doing it but will not file for new I-140 for next seven years. Thanks for the help.
