Update to my post here: https://reddit.com/r/immigration/comments/mbpzhg/tn_visa_denied/
First things first, I was approved.
In addition to my company lawyer, I hired a personal lawyer that specializes in TN denials.
We redrafted my support letter to make it clear that I had no managerial authority (hire/fire/discipline/etc) and at most was providing guidance and expertise to junior team members.
Both lawyers recommended I try a different POE. I went to a different POE and they were very upset I didn’t go back to the same POE.
The officer immediately started yelling at me, and thus began a 2 hour grilling, going down to the minute details of my job. They also called my employer to verify everything I said and was quite aggressive with my employer as well.
The officer was extremely aggressive and tried (successfully) to rattle me. Thankfully though, everything checked out and I got my visa.
For next time, don’t trust your lawyers when they initially draft your docs. They will make a lot of mistakes that you will need to fix later on.
