Not sure what to do in regards to looking for lawyers

So, we plan on filing adjustment of status for my wife. She's currently in the U.S. on a tourist visa (has been so for three months) and we got married last week.

We previously had a consultation with an immigration lawyer who was going to charge us approx. $4000 (which included government processing fees) and her being with us at the interview. Downside? She said this type of work isn't her favorite thing to do (focuses more on criminal) and openly encouraged us to do it on our own or find another lawyer. She never replied to my e-mails and call about wanting to continue w/ her.

I found another lawyer who's been great with communication thus far, only downside is that she wants to charge $4,000 not including the government-processing fees, so the total would come to about $5,500 for an adjustment of status (including her coming to the interview). Is this normal?

I'd say my wife's cases is pretty straightforward. Nothing out of the normal. I know I can do it myself but I want to know that everything is pretty flawless with the paperwork which is why I'd prefer a lawyer. I'm trying to avoid there being any delays because she wants to work ASAP.

I'm just trying to get a little bit more information since all of this is new to me. What are typical fee's for this process and is there a more efficient way of doing this with somebody taking a peek at all the paperwork to make sure everything's in order?

Thanks!

NVC Case FE Review note

Hi everyone, my family and I are under the F3 category and we just received a notice from NVC that our documents have been approved and that we are Documentarily Qualified. My only concern is this message that we received today in addition to the acceptance: " [Name of petitioner] does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p . To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted." We already have a petitioner and a household sponsor (the household sponsor's income is above the required level), but still unsure why we received this. Has anyone else received this message? All of our documents say "Approved" on NVC. Does this mean we have to find another sponsor? Can we show the consular officer our ...
