Hello!
I had a free consultation from a family friend who advised me to get married in the states and apply for green card.
Not to bog this down with details, but the lawyer in question charges $4,500 USD (price knocked down because they know my dad) not including 1-2K for the necessary forms.
This price is NOT something I can comfortably afford, in any stretch of the word.
The lawyer was incredibly knowledgeable and has worked for the government review board for immigration cases.
Is using this lawyer sensible regarding the cost? How essential/beneficial is a lawyer for immigration cases?
Thank you for reading!
