Hi there. I am still in the process of getting my residency. I went to the emergency room last month thinking I had staff enter my blood. They suspected I had COVID-19 and did a blood test. The results were negative and let me go. The hospital has billed me $4000 and it is hard to pay that off when I am still awaiting my work permit. I am aware I can ask for an itemized bill, but what will happen if I do not pay the hospital bill? Will it go to collections when I do not have SS# yet? Thanks for any insight.
