visa stamped on passport then job falls apart

I have an embassy appointment for my H-1B visa interview, with my new job in the US scheduled to start shortly after.

However, personal circumstances are making me reconsider the choice of taking this job vs. staying on my current one.

What happens if I go to the embassy appointment, get the visa stamped on my passport, then change my mind and back out of the job who sponsored the visa (before entering the US)?

WIll I run into trouble later on in life, if I plan to move to visit the US as a tourist and/or apply for a different visa with a different job?

N-400 form {"data":null,"error":{"developerMessage":null,"userMessage":null}} message

A few questions: I filed my N400 naturalization on March 23, 2020. Nearly one year later on Feb 2021 they sent me a notice that they'll reuse my biometrics from my green card application, but they won't refund the biometric fee! At the same time April 2021 showed up on my account as the expected completion date. Last week, the status was "17 days". Today the estimated time of completion has disappeared!!!
