I am quite a unique story - I am actually a British Citizen (since age of 6), but was born in India and have trained as a doctor in UK in University Of Oxford, but am planning to move to USA for my residency in Internal Medicine. I also have 20 publications in the field of medicine.
Now I have no educational background nor any connection with India, apart from birth.
Now because of my place of birth, I will be disadvantaged in getting my greencard - now I heard that as a doctor if we work for 5 years in a under served area we will be be given a NIW (National Interest Waiver). What does this mean?
How does this work for an Indian (by birth)? Will I get a greencard after serving 5 years?
