I am pretty familiar with the process as friends have been through this several times....but just reaching out for advice.
- She is here on a legal B1/B2 visa expires Dec of 2021. Clean immigration history. She got the 10 year visa in 2019. She has been in the US for over 60 days.
- She is not working at this time, but has a great work history in Thailand. Has a house paid for in Thailand, and a vehicle. No other assets.
- She needs a SS number.
- I am a US citizen.
- We have been together 3.5 years. I was going to move/retire to Bangkok and lived there for a while prior to covid (live unmarried). With all the travel restriction on Covid we changed plans and here we are.
- Have a prenup which we signed last month.
- I have not started gathering documents, but looks like I need to make a book of our history.
Once we marry and have the Marriage certificate.....what is the next step? Besides hiring an immigration lawyer to guide us what should we be doing/documenting.
