I have an e2 visa with my current employer but I am married to a US citizen.
Currently I’m in the UK visiting family and I want to get back to the US. With the e2 visa I’m not able to fly directly to the US from the UK BUT because I’m married to a US citizen am exempt from the proclamation.
I will be applying for my green card within a few months of entering the US. If I fly from the UK to the US with a copy of my marriage certificate and a copy of my partners passport, will this jeopardize my green card application in the future? Should I spend 2 weeks in Canada or Mexico to not mess up the GC application? Any advice would be much appreciated!
