Have consular processing times in Australia gotten worse in the past year?
My partner (in Sydney) and I (in the US) are deciding between applying for CR-1 or K-1. We've always heard that CR-1 is preferred, but our lawyer just told us that consular processing times are like ~2 years now because the consulates were closed for so long (which means the full CR-1 process will take ~2.5 years), so K-1 may be better despite having to wait for work/travel authorization. We only found a couple similar entries on VJ, so we wanted to ask Reddit.
