My husband's coworker has a girlfriend from a country that does not need a visa to enter Finland but she has overstayed for 5 years! They are moving back to her country soon, she said she won't have any issues because when leaving the country she has never been checked before. My husband says she will be fined and banned re-entry for at least 10 years. Another coworker said she will be detained and questioned and she might even lose her flight.
What is the most realistic scenario here?
Just in case someone is curious, we barely know them but she said she overstayed because she has anxiety and just avoided thinking of it, thus not acting on getting a permit, and to me she seems like she is spoiled, she obviously doesn't work so she's been receiving daddy's money to support herself while living here all these years.
