Merit based immigration bombshell

Speculation is rife that the President will issue a proclamation around the end of August with dramatic changes to both family based and employment based categories.

I created this post so people to discuss the upcoming changes and share their insights/opinions.

In my opinion, the changes will be dramatic. Only spouses and minor children of US citizens/LPRs will be exempt, everyone else will be subject to it.

I think it will be similar to the RAISE act that was rejected a couple of years ago.

How do you think existing applications will be handled? Will there be any grandfathering of applications close to approval? Will EAD/AP cards be invalid immediately or will they simply not renew it?

Feel free to share your thoughts

At the same time April 2021 showed up on my account as the expected completion date. Last week, the status was "17 days". Today the estimated time of completion has disappeared!!! Any idea what that means? More importantly - When I click on "View PDF" link under "N-400 Application for Naturalization", to see my actual N-400 form, I get " {"data":null,"error":{"developerMessage":null,"userMessage":null}} " message! The form is also missing under "Documents -> Your Uploads" tab! So, it appears that my N400 form is missing! What does that all mean, considering that it's impossible to file without N400 form! Finally, under profile, My name is incorrectly sp...
