I am a Canadian who recently accepted a job that is looking to bring me into the US for 3 months of training. Via their partnering immigration service, I will be getting a B-1 business visa. One of the required documents is proof of funds. Now it is a little embarrassing to admit but I don't really have many funds, spent most of it going back to school and keeping myself alive while job hunting during covid. I have 3k available credit card space and a TBD 20k credit line that I may gain access to but that isn't confirmed. Other than that I may have a few hundred to my name. Accommodation and maybe some expenses will be covered while I am there, I'll be driving there so no real expenses other than gas, and I will be being paid normally.
I can't find anywhere what US immigration considers proficient funds (no dollar amount). Do you think I will be denied my visa?
I probably would have been fine after a few pay checks but it is my first job after school so I'm kinda feeling stuck..
