Marrying in Brazil

I'm a US citizen, and I'm going to Brazil to marry my fiance, but I'm a bit confused about what I need to do with the paperwork and how to do it correctly. I understand I need my birth certificate, passport, and a single status affidavit, but the devil's in the details:

- I had my birth certificate apostilled, and also translated by a certified translator. However, do I also need to have the apostille translated? Also, the translation certificate from the birth certificate is in english, does the translation certificate *itself* ALSO need to be translated? (my brain hurts)

- Are there any more documents required that I'm missing from my list above?

- Does the single status affidavit have to be notarized by the US consulate in Brazil, or can it just be notarized/legalized by the county clerk here in the US, and then I can apostille it afterwards? I understand that if you get it certified/legalized/apostilled in Brazil by the US consulate they can't help you apostille it, so I'm not sure why they offer that service (I guess for US citizens in Brazil that are sending documents to the US, but I have no idea). It seems to me I should get the affidavit at my county clerk here, then apostille it and then bring it with me.

I really wish I could just talk to an expert about this but I don't even know if I should be talking to an immigration lawyer, or a consulte official, or even where to contact a consulate official. If anyone has any ideas please let me know because I want to do this right the first time.

NVC Case FE Review note

Hi everyone, my family and I are under the F3 category and we just received a notice from NVC that our documents have been approved and that we are Documentarily Qualified. My only concern is this message that we received today in addition to the acceptance: " [Name of petitioner] does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p . To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted." We already have a petitioner and a household sponsor (the household sponsor's income is above the required level), but still unsure why we received this. Has anyone else received this message? All of our documents say "Approved" on NVC. Does this mean we have to find another sponsor? Can we show the consular officer our
