I’m a sophomore in college, me and my husband who is a US citizen and is studying at the same school been dating and living together for almost a year now, however, we got married about a week ago cuz we didn’t wanna rush it, and even though it’s still rushed, we both just wanna spend the rest of our lives together. Well anyway, there’s that one lawyer who’s supposedly the most affordable, he’s asking for $1400 for his fees, that doesn’t include the other fees ($1750 i-30, i-485, etc.,) me and my husband are still college students so we’re not trying to spend a lot of money, especially that we just got a dog and we’re trying to save (TMI lol) I’ve looked up the forms that we should fill and the supporting documents that we should present and it all seems pretty overwhelming, do you think a lawyer is a must or what should we do if we’re starting from scratch?
