My brother got into a DUI incident last year and hired a lawyer to possibly get it reduced to wreck less driving so he would still qualify for DACA. This was pre-covid so know the case has been pushed back and his permit expired in February 2021. Does anyone have any similar incidents or know anyone that could help us know what we can do. The lawyer updates him monthly on the court date but nothing is set as of now and with a pending case he can’t renew. Any advice is helpful and I know it was stupid on his part but I just want other opinions on what to do; should we change lawyers or keep waiting for reference we live in Georgia.
