Regards I-539 Visa extension

Hello guys. I'm in the US right now on a B1 visa, and my I 94 expires June 5th 2020. My flights got cancelled due to the virus and I applied for a visa extension on 25th April. What I read online and from here as well is that as long as you applied within time and got the receipt notice, if you stay past the I 94 expiry date, it won't come under unlawful stay. I got a receipt notice as soon as I applied but it very clearly states that this isn't a proof of pending case or grant any immigration benefit. Link is below and sorry about the red circles. If this receipt notice isn't proof of pending case, then can anyone tell me what is? Thank you. I heard the payment for immigrant visa is only good for 1 year

I have a friend whose trying to get her parents to immigrant to the usa. THey already have the affidavit and everything approved and just waiting for inteview. However, due to covid-19 the interview may be delayed for a few months, but the problem is we made the payment for everything in June and I heard it is only good for 1 year. So do we need to make payment again once that expires? submitted by /u/caseyrobinson2 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/immigration/comments/g9fygs/i_heard_the_payment_for_immigrant_visa_is_only/

I-693 Medical Exam it is the date when the civil surgeon signed it that matters for which revision is valid ?

I have a RFE that say : "Starting September 23, 2019, civil surgeons must use the 07/15/19 edition of Form I-693. USCIS will not accept the 10/19/17 version." The I-693 was signed in august and use the 10/19/17 revision (it's inside the sealed envelope but I have a copy to check). Is this form still valid since the signature of the civil surgeon is before September 23, even if has not been sent yet to the USCIS ? submitted by /u/LegalMarsupial4 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/immigration/comments/g9fq6x/i693_medical_exam_it_is_the_date_when_the_civil/

What options do we have as a married couple?

I’m a US citizen and my husband is a UK citizen. When all of this happened, we were in the process of my UK spouse visa which i submitted my application and completed my biometrics for in February. We applied through the priority service which estimated 30 business days for processing. When VFS Global closed in March my process was on day 26. Now my application is paused until further notice. They returned my documents including passport until further instruction. This happened to everyone who had a processing application at that time. Obviously there’s no telling when that process will begin again. It both depends on New York and the UK resuming some level of business... or some sort of exception being made which I am not hopeful about, though there are active petitions on the matter. I’m wondering what we can do from here. My husband and I have been stranded apart from one another during this time. Currently, he is still technically allowed to enter the US on his ESTA as he is my...

Applied for OPT. Had to leave country due to COVID

I applied before leaving the country. I have a job set to begin in July. What are the chances that my application will get denied and I won’t be able to come back? I understand it’s very uncertain, but anyone have any thoughts? submitted by /u/mapark58 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/immigration/comments/g9cngf/applied_for_opt_had_to_leave_country_due_to_covid/
