My status was adjusted to H-1B but I don't have a Visa stamp and I won't be able to get one anytime soon due to the US Covid Travel Ban on Schengen.
To my knowledge, I can still travel without visa stamp within the US including US territories, using either my passport or my US drivers license. So I was looking into options to visit either the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico.
However, I found this sentence on the USVI travel portal: " As a US territory, travel to the USVI does not require a passport from US citizens arriving from Puerto Rico or the US mainland. Entry requirements for non -US citizens are the same as for entering the US from any foreign destination" .
Does this mean that I would need a Visa stamp even if I am coming from the mainland or is it just poorly phrased? Does anybody have direct experience with this? I tried to emailed them but haven't received a response.
