Hey everyone,
I am a Undergrad who is currently on STEM OPT in the US which is expiring at the end of October. I have successfully enrolled in a Master's program starting later and have received my i-20 from the college.
The F-1 Visa on my passport has expired but my DSO said that I need a valid F-1 Visa only if I was coming into the US. However, since I am already here, it shouldn't matter if my F-1 Visa is valid or not unless I see myself travelling out of the US (which I don't).
I just wanted to confirm if just having the new i-20 was enough? Also, if I do need an F-1 visa, can I get it from within the US?
