Job start date and visa appointment delay

Hello,

I'm currently in the process of gathering documents for visa application to move to a new country. However, there have been some unexpected hiccups which have meant that I can only apply for a visa at a date AFTER my official job start date.

In such a situation, will I lose the job offer?
